Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano has been out injured for the past few weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The Frenchman has missed the last two games and is currently sidelined with the issue, which he picked up during training on Sunday.

Upamecano's absence comes at a crucial time for Bayern, who are currently in third place in the Bundesliga table and will be hoping to make a push for the title this season.

With the likes of Benjamin Pavard and Jerome Boateng also unavailable through injury, Upamecano's return could provide a much-needed boost to the team's defensive options.

However, it remains to be seen how long he will be out for, as there is no indication that he will be back before the end of the season.

In the meantime, Bayern will have to rely on their other defenders, including David Alaba and Niklas Süle, to step up and fill the void left by Upamecano's absence.
